Hi guys,

Yes I'm a n00b to XBMC on windows, and yes I did a quick search.

Wondering if it's possible to run xbmc in windowed mode, but run videos in full screen?? I'd prefer everything in full screen, but xbmc flickers very frequently in full screen.

3.4GHz Intel P4 cpu; 7800 GTX; 2G ddr2; Snapstream firefly remote; XBMC 8.10.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

What are your
Settings - Appearance - Screen - Vertical Blank Sync settings?

Actually, tears is probably the better word for it. (see, n00b).

I'm at work atm, but I'm sure Vertical Blank Sync is set to on (or whatever the default is, but it's definitely not off).

Ok, definitely flickers. But I figured out why. I'm trying to setup my firefly remote with xbmc and have the firefly OSD on for when you press buttons. When that tries to appear on top of the XBMC screen, it flickers.

I was only using that for testing, so turned that off and XBMC works like a charm.
