Already downloaded the files, just don't have time to sort out what's for what game. Hopefully this saves somebody some trouble, at least. Wink

That's great news. Leo seems very talented so I'm sure a collaboration with Awen will go a long way.

I haven't really been following the games library project, but has there been any progress? Seems like a monumental task with the different OSes, emulators, etc. I'd be content if the Games/Programs section would just recognize fanart.jpg within the directories.

Currently sorting through the fanart, and will be assisting in uploading these to HtBackdrops.

This project really interests me since my scraper library will be (externally from xbmc) supporting game scrapers more extensively(for more than just the XBox platform), if anyone is still working on the games library and extending the scraper engine to support it i'd definately like to discuss the extent to which the support is taken since i play more emulated games on my Xbox than actual Xbox Games, i'm more interested in extending this to xupport(and launch) emulated games from Xbox.

I Suck, and if you act now by sending only $19.95 and a self addressed stamped envelop, so can you!

You should talk to leo2, last I knew he was doing what he could with the game library branch...

MobyGames and AllGame have TONS and TONS of cover art, screenshots, descriptions and reviews for about every console and computer system there was so they should definitely have scrapers. Unfortunately MobyGames watermark their high resolution cover art (but not screenshots) and AllGame have somewhat limited resolutions on theirs, but it's a good start.

What we really need is a thetvdb.com type of site for games. Smile

+1Nod for this game fanart project.

I am not a HTPC user, yet, but I am still a XBMC/MC360 user on my xbox for a couple years now. I registered right after seeing this post. I have been hoping for something like this ever since I first saw screen shots of Aeon. My kids and I still play my xbox games along with all the old school emulators games. I would really like something like this that I can just have the xbox boot straight into the games library with all the fanart backdrops associated with each game.

Not being a programmer myself, is it difficult to have the xbmc recognize a backdrop with each game that is loaded onto the xbox's hd? I've been trying to read up on this as much as I can to fully understand what is going on. Is fanart backdrops possible to do locally without the need of a scraper?
thanks
