Hello,

As fanart for some movies does not exist, how hard would it be to have XBMC taking random screenshot of those movies (video files) and use it as fanart.

The other option might be the ability of user to take a screenshot and assign it as a fanart straight from video player OSD.

Just my suggestion, for making it comfortable and fast. Of course it would work the best with HD movies.

it's not hard to do but it is a mediocre solution at best. the fanart backends are open, and ppl should submit proper fanart there, not do hackery solutions for themself.

I agree with spiff. This may sound like a good idea but it would result in people not making proper fanart for movies and making the fanart database bigger.
