Preferred OS for XBMC?
#1
I am in the process of building a HTPC. I have pretty much any OS at my disposal.

The last time I dabbled with XBMC was when I ran it on my XBOX.

Now I see it is available for pretty any plateform.

What is the preferred OS to run XBMC?

I plan to output all my video and audio via HDMI, control XMBC via an Antec bundled remote control. And I would like my system to boot directly into XBMC.

Any advice is apprecaited.

Thanks!

Development mainly is done under Linux (Ubuntu afaik), so the magic happens first there Wink
GPU accell, TV-card/VDR support...

Edit: Most new stuff are immediatly available on Windows version (and other OS too) so Widows is also ok option as you posted here.
GPU acceleration wont come any time soon on other than Linux imo.

Wasn't this *identical* question asked last week in this same forum?

I'll respond the same way I did before regardless...

Do you really expect to get unbiased responses to your question by posting in this forum?

(nanite1000 kinda shot this to hell, but give it time)
