I can play some mp4 (h.264)videos here, but some gets lagging!
I dont know why some files plays good and some not.
Could somebody give me a tip about how to convert videos to mp4 using mediacoder to be able to play them correctly in xbmc?

Use DVDPlayer instead of MPlayer for mp4s and in the video settings, change from High Quality Pixel Shader to Low Quality Pixel Shader.

Should low quality pixel shader be used at all times with DVDPlayer, or only when playing MP4's?

Yeah I've never heard that trick before. Does low quality pixel shader work faster and save more CPU for video decoding? I assumed they were both graphics hardware-based and equally speedy.
