LCDproc and character encoding

You need to patch the imonlcd driver in lcdproc and use loadable cyrillic font, see here: http://lists.omnipotent.net/pipermail/lc...13246.html

Then set 'cp1251' encoding in XBMC (i think its called 'Windows' there).

what locale do you have? because I have problems with Cyrillic names on imonLCD with en_US.UTF8. will try uk_UA.KOI8U-U, but prefer UTF8.
I know there was discussion about UTF8 support on lcdpoc forum, but w/o any success and/or conclusions.

thanks a lot for this link! it works for me on 99%. there are some issues with few ukrainian chars in the cp1251 font, but can be easy fixed.

Is it possible, and how complex is it? I know very little C and would like to get this ScriptPlayer Sound Unlimited thing to work as it should. Please help. Boylett suggested xSockets, but from what i see, it makes the same connections as Jacobs IRC bot.

Would like to do this right. Please help
P.S. Всех с наступающим НОВЫМ ГОДОМ!!! Успехов вам в работе и в личной жизни.

the patch wasn't approved because of another one: http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/8981

Unfortunately, starting some commits ago (missed when it was) I don't see any Cyrillic chars on my iMON LCD.

Hi oleksiy,
The problem is still preserved in XBMC regardless two years already passed...
Do you have by chance a fresh patch for XBMC?
Thanks in advance.
