This is another issue. You should try to manually reloading lirc on resume.
Always read the online manual (wiki), FAQ (wiki) and search the forum before posting.

Yeah, log looks good. You changed something in your environment yet?

No not yet. =)
Will look into it soon. Give me one hour. =)

Thanks for helping me. This is strange. Ive had problems with putting the HTPC to suspend on and off all since I build the thing. Im never "sure" it will boot up with screen when I start it every morning..

Well, It shall have nothing to do with the softreset failure at the boot menu...

I will now first tell what "changes" Ive done in Ubuntu, before I try to do something else.

1. I've followed the guide "Start/Kill XBMC with the remote control"
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=30230

Works perfecly.

2. I've edited /proc/acpi/wakeup to be able to wake the htpc up from the remote.

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/MCE_Remote

I have NOT put this in my lircrc, since I use XBMC to put the HTPC in sleep.

begin
button = Power
prog = irexec
repeat = 0
config = sudo /usr/sbin/hibernate-ram
end

Code:
Device  S-state   Status   Sysfs node
PCI0      S5     disabled  no-bus:pci0000:00
USB0      S3     enabled   pci:0000:00:12.0
USB1      S3     enabled   pci:0000:00:12.1
USB2      S3     enabled   pci:0000:00:12.2
USB3      S3     enabled   pci:0000:00:13.0
USB4      S3     enabled   pci:0000:00:13.1
USB5      S3     enabled   pci:0000:00:13.2
USB6      S3     enabled   pci:0000:00:14.5
SBAZ      S4     disabled  pci:0000:00:14.2
P2P       S5     disabled  pci:0000:00:14.4
PCE2      S4     disabled  pci:0000:00:02.0
PCE3      S4     disabled
PCE4      S4     disabled
PCE5      S4     disabled
PCE6      S4     disabled
PCE7      S4     disabled
PCE9      S4     disabled
PCEA      S4     disabled  pci:0000:00:0a.0
PCEB      S4     disabled
PCEC      S4     disabled
PS2M      S5     disabled  pnp:00:0b
PS2K      S5     disabled  pnp:00:0c

3. I've set XBMC's normal shutdown to suspend, and also when I press the power button at front of my HTPC, it shall go to suspend.

Now when I've confessed, I will try to find the thing to talk about. I shall edit something....

Is this something I must do?

Power Management

To be able to control power management (suspend, shutdown, reboot) from within XBMC, you have to change PolicyKit.conf

NEXT STEP

Code:

#sudo wget -P/etc/PolicyKit http://217.20.138.65/xbmc/PolicyKit.conf

If you wish to enable CPU scaling feature:

First of all, don’t forget to enable it in the BIOS.

Code:

#sudo apt-get powernowd

Hi again. What do you mean with environment? =)

Is this what I need to do?

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...irc+resume

My problem is that, sometimes when I've put the htpc to suspend, with XBMC running or just pressed the power button on the case, I can resume correctly.

But sometimes, like when the htpc have been down over the night, it does not start correctly.

Is there some difference in how long the htpc have been suspended?
