Read db records with python script

hello

is it possible to read database records from ms-sql server with python. it would be a wery nice function to read database records.

of course i could read it with xml but i think it would be faster with some sql server in background.

http://www.object-craft.com.au/projects/mssql/ - but you'll need to compile. i dunno how, or if the openxdk could be used to do this
