[RELEASE] X-Sopcast (Video) Plugin for Sopcast
#1
Thumbs Up
Hi there,

I wrote a plugin for those who want to watch sopcast inside XBMC. You need XBMC 9.04 alpha1 build at least.

Currently it supports only Linux and XBMC Live platform.

Detailed instruction here:

Thx man. This is your SVN Installer repo.xml Smile

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
<repo>
    <url>http://xbox-remote.googlecode.com/svn</url>
    <root>/tags</root>
    <structure name="tags" noffset="-1" install="" ioffset="2" voffset="0" />
</repo>

or if you use trunk then this one

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
<repo>
    <url>http://xbox-remote.googlecode.com/svn</url>
    <root>/trunk</root>
    <structure name="trunk" noffset="-1" install="" ioffset="2" voffset="0" />
</repo>

What are the chances of getting this working for xbox in the future, anybody know if it can be done? Would be a great plugin to have.

Currently I am working on Windows port. Need to learn a bit more about com (activex), which I plan to use to active the mute button in the sopcast windows client. When it's done. I will start working on the xbox port, it will be very similar to what hibaby did long time ago, i.e. you need one extra Linux or Windows box to do the p2p work. All code will be written in python and open source.

I may include pplive support in the future. Get the channel list and firing up pplive is easy to do. To port it to Linux/xbox I may need to borrow the code from the development of x-sopcast on xbox. That's why I want to put it at a much later stage.

Many thanks for your efforts. I will try it later this week.

Hi,

I am looking for a sopcast plugin so I can watch football from within XBMC but I can not find it...

Is there a way to integrate sopcast into XBMC?

Many thanks!

Add me to that list too! I remember Voinage was looking into a myp2p plugin back in the day but nothing came of it in the end. Any way of watching live football through XBMC would be the best addon ever for me.
