[stupid question] diff between SVN PPA and build
#1
Sorry complete linux/xbmc noob...

I continue to read about people building the latest xbmc svn builds....

What is the difference between using the SVN PPA and building your own from SVN?

Is the PPA updated less? Are they essentially the same?

The XBMC SVN is being updated constantly, new code is commited several times a day. So it's the most up to date version one can get.

SVN PPA's are build from the XBMC SVN. I'm not sure about the frequency but i guess those are updated once a day.

So SVN PPA's are slightly less up to date....only by a few hours though.
