Ember made me finally break down and properly organize my collection by folders. Actually Auriga made me organize by folders - EMM just let me do it somewhat efficiently.
A couple of thoughts which probably may not even register as requests.
1. Option not to display the fan art in the EMM interface. Why? I Terminal Service into my XBMC box from work (lunchtime, of course...) to Rescan. Updating full graphic through TS is painstakingly slow. Minor quibble.
2. Option to disable continuous reminder about Sort Files Into Folders. Check it once and be done with it.
3. Please explain how sets manager works.
4. This is way out there but might be kind of a cool feature - for really esoteric movies without fanart it would be nice to be able to upload a decent thumb - i.e. pick from several screenshots and submit if no fan art exists on TMDB.
5. IMDB top 250 scan - Problem with Top 250 is that they constantly change. Would be kind of cool to snapshot them once in awhile. Leave all other tags intact and batch process entire library.
6. Monitor folders - I generally download to a folder called New Movies clean the junk out of the download, retitle it to just the movie title and then let EMM run and org into folders. I then drag the new folders into my Movies folder and Rescan before Updating New Movies. Some form of monitoring (ie service) would be cool.
Don't care if any or all of these make it into EMM. I'm getting massive use out of it just the way it is.
Thanks! Glad you're liking it and find it useful.
1> Should be pretty simple to implement.
2> You mean the warning popup when you use the sort files into folders tool? I think we could work that in as well.
3> For XBMC, it doesn't do anything. lol It's a feature for YAMJ users. YAMJ allows movies to be grouped into sets so you could group, say, all "Friday the 13th" movies into one set instead of having them all over the place.
4> TMDB's API doesn't support uploading at the moment.
5> There is already an open feature request that turned into a request for a custom updater (http://code.google.com/p/embermediamanag...ail?id=129) where you can select each item you want to update and which movies you want to update (All, Missing, New, Marked). I think that would work for your needs, as well. I'll try to get it into the next release.
6> That would take a lot more work than the rest. lol If you add this (and the rest of the requests) as a new feature request on the Google Code page we'll work on it when we can. If they're not added to the Google Code page, we're likely to forget. lol
