Assuming we have Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale. OK, so they are a "set". How does XBMC know that Casino Royale actually comes before QoS? OK, maybe I do not know enough about it, but doesn't it make things easier to just rename/number the movies (eg. Harry Potter 1 - Philospher's Stone...)?
I don't see the purpose of having both sorttitle and sets as they both accomplish the same thing, and that is to do exactly what you are saying. So taking your Harry Potter example a bit further:
Using SortTitle:
Title = "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"
SortTitle = "Harry Potter 1"
Title = "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"
SortTitle = "Harry Potter 2"
Title = "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"
SortTitle = "Harry Potter 3"
Sorted by Title:
"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"
"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"
Sorted by SortTitle:
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"
"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"
"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"
Basically you tell it how to sort, but it still displays the proper name.
Using Sets:
Title = "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"
Code:
<sets>
<set order="1">Harry Potter</set>
</sets>
Title = "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"
Code:
<sets>
<set order="2">Harry Potter</set>
</sets>
Title = "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"
Code:
<sets>
<set order="3">Harry Potter</set>
</sets>
I'm not sure what their plan is for displaying these (if they do implement sets)... they would either just have it work exactly the same way as sorttitle, or it would show an icon in the list for "Harry Potter"... then you click on that and it would show all the movies in that set.
The only downside is that your list would look all weird because you could have some movies stuck in other letters (Like if you set sort title for "Casino Royale" to "James Bond 21"... it would show up in the J's instead of the C's).
