I just tried ONE which worked perfectly, I switched to NEWS - ok. Back to ONE which was now desynced again ...
Sadly didn't have debug on.
Looking at the normal log - the stream urls on both occasions are exactly the same.
No response to my bug report.

I'm starting to manually include some of the popular non-xbmc.org repo add-ons on the XBMC Wiki:

Feel free to do what you want (within reason) with that page. You can even make subpages by adding a slash to the url. For example:

Drop me a message if anyone needs help with wiki editing. Anyone can edit, just register on the wiki and you're good to go (page creation requires an account that is a few days old and has made five edits).

I just rolled back to a nightly pre-Eden from end of November. ONE still out of sync.
So, does this suggest that the stream format has changed in some subtle way which throws the player into a fit? The random nature of the error is perplexing.
I'd be grateful if other users could test and report back - BBC ONE live, Limelight and 480 stream.

no reponse as funnily enough, I have a job, plus I work on many other "free" projects in my spare time.
sounds like one of the cdns is dodgy.
limelight uses round robin dns and returns a couple of ips for the bbc stuff, so it could be one of them isn't working as it should.

Another episode of ONE suddenly synced - on several separate attempts, then just as mysteriously reverted back to desync!

posted this in the itv player thread too, i am running eden and 4od itv player and now iplayer all do the same thing they launch but will play like a second sometimes or other times not at all and are all paused and i am unable to unpause.

I player had always just worked for me until now, so I haven't played with any of the settings, however I probabaly should look into them now.
What is the best, or recommended stream to use for Eden on Linux? Or what do people find the most reliable?

got a message from castalla that the live streams now worked that didnt. I think it was just a case of limelight for the bbc with a roundrobin dns, and one of the servers was just broken. now it is fixed and all is well.
