howcom that normal mov-files on my harddisc play with sound, but as soon as i stream a quicktime file via this script, i don't get any sound?

you need updated xbmc with quicktime support (with the codecs as well).

there is however one minor _issue_ using it, you _must_ always choose the video quality. a global setting for that would be very nice.

a nice feature, could be, a options, just to play all the traylers without manual intervention

its easy to modify the script to always stream the large/medium/small file

just open the file .py script with a texteditor, and see if you can do it

my 2 cents - i think that this script could only benefit from a couple changes.

1) the first being imdb interaction. clicking white on the movie, and having xbmc do the same thing as a movie. even creating a trailers4.db file. then a scan button would be useful.
2) if it is downloading imdb info, thumbnails along with thumbnail views would only make sense.
3) a progress bar after clicking a movie would be nice, instead of the scrolling test, for the less tech savvy users.
4) a global setting for quality would be nice.

bugs - some movies seem to not start streaming correctly. the only two i can think of are meet the fockers, and a dirty shame.

hi,

i run into a problem...
script runs fine and i got the correct list of trailer. when i try to open a trailer the screen flickers (a popup shows 0.5sec) and nothing happens :help: :help:

i use the xbmc from yesterday and i can play mov files with sounds... no problem at all but i can´t play them out of the python script :-(
