Sounds like an Aeon-ism in that case. It's probably not using an actual list container to display the stuff, rather constructing it's own list using image controls etc.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.

Just check how it's doing the images. If the images are being supplied outside of the list, then this will give no advantage whatsoever. Given that djh_ includes some animations to switch between flat and coverflow looks, it's probably all done outside the list. Your only option in this case is to crossfade 'em.

If they're inside a list, then it'll work as advertised.
