I updated the librtmp.so.0 from https://github.com/svnpenn/rtmpdump (compilation went fine) but still some streams stop after 60 seconds. Are there any other steps necessary?

I just started to use this Plug-in, but whatever I select to watch anything ... first of all there is no feedback.
Second even if it does gimme the feedback, it gives me following error message on screen.

"Playback Failed
One or more items failed to play.
check the log file for details."

Seriously like this is one thing I love most about xbmc and it isnt working at all. ... Any help fellas.

More and more addons will not works without librtmp from KSV!
This is bad since KSV give your changes not back to the main rtmpdump and without that nothing Projects can have his exellent changes as standard lib or dll!

Dayman, can you try a few diffrent channels and paste a log, or are you just having trouble with that channel?

I had a channel do this just now, the channel is ignproleague. I fixed by changing line 339 in default.py to

and the channel does seem to be working fine now.

Im also getting this error using XBMCbuntu. What can I do to make this work?

I have it working on xbmc4xbox to but the problem when i have on xbox this error what you have is i have not a librtmp.dll from ksv!

I have ATV2, xmbc 11 (eden) - I dowloaded, copied plugin.video.jtv.archives-0.2.8, install from zip file. I also downloaded and copied librtmp into the frameworks directory and renamed the old one. when i try to load anything it tells me opening stream and nothing comes up. sometimes it comes back with the message "one or more items failed to load". Also there are a lot of ascii characters in the menus is there some corruption? Please help!!!

Are you sure you have the updated librtmp? Usually a line like "unknown option - jtv" in the xbmc.log file will tell you if it isn't.

The ascii are probably unicode characters not supported by the font of the skin you're using.
