dual audio mkv playback weirdness on audio stream switching
#1
Hi all.
I've just noticed this little quirk in XBMC that i'd like to help debug if possible:

I have an mkv file with dual audio tracks (en/jp)
when i switch from one to the other, video playback suddenly speeds ahead while audio playback remains normal.
If i hit the FF buttons until getting back to x1, video resumes normal playback.
If i switch again, it starts running again.

I'm running the latest (as of today) xbmc from the ubuntu SVN PPA on a HP pavillion dv6000 with nvidia drivers version 180 (updated yesterday) and VDPAU enabled in xbmc.

here's a pastebin of my mkv file's mediainfo output and xbmc.log.
If anything else is needed, i will gladly provide it.

If this issue has already been addressed, i apologize in advance for missing it in the forums.

I noticed this as well...but the speedup is like only for a second or so... it seems the player uses this to get back to a proper a/v sync. Do you have smoothvideo (Sync to display) activated?

@ Haggy
actually i didn't. and it's true that video speeds up to "catch up" to the sound.
for some weird reason, on switching, the audio is always 15-20s ahead.

Enable "sync to video" with the video clock as reference and give it a try.
