#1
I recieve my asrock 330 tommorow and will be using it solely for XBMC nothing else what version of linux do you guys recommend , im new to linux and need it to be as idiot proof as possible.

Also i currently have about 7TB of HD movies on another pc but was thinking of putting them in another machine on their own again what do you reckon i should use operating system wise.

Ill have a 3rd machine as my main pc what i will use for my daily stuff which will prob be windows and for ripping and converting movies and playing FML.

Any help would be appreciated.

For full idiot proofness I would go with XBMCLive. Follow the thread below where I have attached an ISO with the new nvidia ion drivers. Once you have XBMC installed remember to change the display to use VDPAU and any 720p or 1080p content will play flawlessly. You need to change the audio outputs to plug:hdmi and hdmi and then restart to get sound over hdmi.

I started with this and then moved onto ubuntu linux so I could run the latest SVN builds. XBMCLive is excellent place to start though.
