Full screen on secondary w/o changing primary resolution
#1
Hello

I operate my XBMC on a secondary display, being my plasma TV. I have my Intelliremote software programmed to open a UltraMon shortcut that opens XBMC in that secondary display.

My primary display is 1680x1050. My secondary is 1280x720. I have XBMC set for a 720p screen size. When XBMC opens full screen, it changes the primary display's resolution to 720. Is there a way to prevent it from changing the primary display's resolution?

Thanks

I had a similar problem, but found that if you just place the xbmc icon shortcut on the secondary display desktop, and then start it from there, it works perfectly without screwing up the resolution of the primary monitor.

no need for any other programs etc to force it to the display.

(this is using XBMC_for_Windows-9.04.1-repack2.exe, it never used to work so easily on the older versions)

David, I didn't realize it was that simple. I'm gonna have to give that a try.

I tried moving my shortcut to that display but it won't stay there. When I switch my TV to the HDMI input for the PC, it drops the connection for a second forcing the icon back to the primary desktop. Sad
