I've had my xbmc linux box set up for quit awhile now with no problems. I'm on the latest svn build and with in the past week or two i'm having a problem with my network connection. Everything i have movies, tv show, music, pic are all streamed from my vista desktop pc.

When i start up xbmc and go to video and select a source (smb://10.1.0.100/Video) i am asked for a username and password, i enter my vista desktop info and it connects. How can I get it to save my info, I cant remember how i originally had it working.

You add source trough the sources.xml located in your /userdata folder

smb://username:password@Server.com/share/music/

I tried using

smb://username:password@Server.com/share/music/

Still made no difference. I tried entering my wins server info in the network options in the settings and it does not save. Also my Pictures are streamed from the same computer and do not require a username and password in the source or when i access it. Any other ideas whats going on?
