I've got XBMC running great on my system. The picture slideshow is great, but having to navigate into photos -> source -> (right click) -> slideshow, or select slide show from the menu on the left (depending on the skin) might be a little harder for my slightly more mature (read: older) in-laws to deal with, is there a way to make a menu entry on the main menu for "start slideshow" or something similar?

Dunno what skin you're using (apparently not an intuitive one), but with the default, you should "make default" on whichever source you're after. Then it's just pictures > slidshow. Way easier than hacking a skin to make a silly button.

I'm using PM3.HD. Thanks for the tip, I tried to "Set Default" on the only picture source I have (a SMB share), but clicking on Pictures -> Slideshow doesn't do anything? Is that because it's an SMB share, or do I need to post a debug log?

Any further help with this? Is there a known reason why it won't let you "Set Default" on a SMB share?
