Compucase 8k07 - how to fit a 2.5 HDD?
#1
Hi,

I've bought a Compucase 8K07 mini-ITX case and I was wondering if someone here have a similar case and could help me with mine. The case is supposed to have a bay for a 3.5 HDD, so I bought 2.5in to 3.5in mounting rails in order to use a 2.5 hard drive. I'm struggling to figure it out how to fit the rails to the case though, so if someone could give me some hints or show me some pictures of their cases with a installed hard disk, that would be great.

In case you're wondering, this is the case:

And this is the mounting rails I've got:

Any help is appreciated.

Just like I imagined, so my problem can only be the mounting rails... need to find the right ones now.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply!

Hope you're happy with the case. I'm using it to house a Zotac Geforce 9300 and just finished installing the OS.

Cheers

I bought another 2.5" to 3.5" adapter and still not quite what I need -- it doesn't match the 3 holes of the bay. Standards anyone?

Alas, I managed to fix the HDD with only 2 screws so maybe a bit of tape ain't a bad idea...
