FTP-Transferrate Diff. between Up<->Down

Question
Hi there!

After lot of trouble with my wlan bridge I bought a Devolo DLAN-Kit (200 AVPlus= an enything works much better.

Now I wonder the differences in FTP-transfer rates witch dependence on the direction of transfer.

From my Media-Server (Win XP Pro SP3) to XBOX CoreFTP shows a transfarerate of 1,8 MB/s.
In the other direction (from XBOX to Server) the rate is about 6 MB/s.

Hmm... whyHuh
What can I do to get a better transfer rate TO my XBOX....Huh?

Any IdeasHuh?

Thank You!!!!

Bye

Probably some crap "security" software you have running.

Power plugs LAN, interesting.

I get around 5-6 MB/s over Ethernet cable uploading to Xbox (Filezilla, 1 connection!), never transfered anything back, but I guess about the same, slightly higher than that.

You are supposed to get better rates when reading (from Xbox) as opposed to writing (to Xbox), so I guess that's normal, but not that bigger difference.

What do to? Tricky - try asking a friend around with a laptop if you don't have another computer, plug the other computer where Xbox is plugged now and try again, see the transfer speed then. Could be something funny with the adapters, check for a firmware update on manufacturer website - if you can replicate the issue with your friend, contact their support.

PS: Btw, there is an Xbox specific forum here:
