I've been trying to play karaoke files and I tried a lot of versions (9.04 and several svn versions) and it ALWAYS crashes, no matter what file I play or anything. is this normal?, is the karaoke function supported?

From a debug log I don't get anything either, this is from when I press the button until xbmc crashes.

This is the latest svn (compiled today) with external libraries off, pulseaudio off and the rest default.

Any ideas?

What skin are you using?

I know atleast the aeon skins are missing:
MusicKaraokeLyrics.xml
DialogKaraokeSongSelector.xml
DialogKaraokeSongSelectorLarge.xml

Not sure if this is the issue but it's a good place to start. :p

Yes, forgot to be clear on that. I normaly use Aeon and saw that there is an error about a missing file in the log.

So I tried using PM3, and the log I posted is from using that (official) skin, for greater compatibility. Still the same crash (or different, but crashes anyway).

Another doubt I have is if karaoke songs should be in the same library than normal music, or is there a different place for karaoke files. (wiki doesn't mention anything about that)

I have mine in my music and it works.
Using svn r22528 and PM3.HD.

Might wanna try building 22528.

And, I'm sorry about the version number, I searched and it seems it's a repetitive topic. I really never looked at the homepage, but I would have followed these guidelines if it said something in the wiki entry.
