Hi to all,
i've xbmc svn21936 installed on ubuntu.
How can you make an upgrade to a new stable (version).
I've tried with a apt-get upgrade but the version installed is svn22743 (this version crash the system and i revert to svn21936 the only present in /var/cache/apt/archives).

Thank you for the help.

How did you install your version ? Did you compiled it yourself ?
The latest stable from teamXBMC, at https://launchpad.net/~team-xbmc/+archive/hardy-ppa is svn 20654 and works very well on my Ubuntu Hardy.
Another place where you can get UNSUPPORTED builds is http://www.sshcs.com/xbmc/

svn22743 was posted in error - it still has a lot of unstable elements from the merging of the branches.

Wattazoum has since replaced it with svn22528, which was built from the last stable pre-merge revision.

If you have aptitude then update your package list and you should now see 22528 available within the listing for the XBMC packages.

If you want to stay with apt-get then remove your current XBMC packages, update and apt-get install should then find 22528.

N.B. This is only for Jaunty - Hardy/Intrepid/Karmic have other pre-existing building issues unrelated to the branch merge .
