Which Media Manager is most complete and stable?
#1
I'm gonna go the media manager route to manage my media and I was just wondering which one is currently most complete (ie: most features) and most stable. Or maybe I should ask which is currently most popular.

Thanks,
Harry

IMHO, Ember Media Manager for Movies and Media Companion for TV Shows.

Media Companion G2 is slowly catching up to EMM in the Movies department
thanks to it's new GUI. Currently, only G1 supports TV Shows but G2 will have
it in a very short period of time (probably next week or so...).

This will then make Media Companion the most complete media manager yet.

Hello,

I have been using Media Info Plus, and was very disappoint. Based on your recommendation, Ember Media was definitely better and didn't save the incorrect movie info even when I am canceling the movie selection. It's certainly good.

Any recommendation for the music and music video with Fan Art. Thanks.

From my experience, Media Companion is not compatible in Windows 7 64 bit.

linux options (as far as i know)
MediaReader - uses Java
MIP - by using wine under linux
umX - is still being developed so you'll have to wait on that one

Maybe a Virtual Box of winders (or VM) under 'nix as well

MIP works great under WINE as fekker mentioned, I've been using it for a long while now.
If only miptvupdate wouldn't hang so much I would call it the perfect solution, I suspect part of this has to do with thetvdb however.
