Question about editing keymap...?
#1
I want to edit the keymap to make some keyboard commands to require 2 buttons. For example, I always hit "\" by mistake, and it makes xbmc to go to window mode which is annoying, so I want to make it "ctrl + \" to go to windowed. How do I enter this into the keymap?(if it is even possible)

Modifiers are not supported. The best you can do is remove the current mapping.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

Can you please be more precise, what do you mean remove current mapping?

I'm very interested in this. My remote sends Control_L + key.

If I remove Control_L it would leave me with the key, which is
also good for me.

Can this be done?
Xmodmap maybe?

Thx, any tip is highly apprecaited Nod

I believe that by "remove current mapping" he means to delete the entry that makes "\" toggle to windowed mode.

Off course, I was tired when I was reading.
I desperately need to make modifiers work, so I read what I like Big Grin

Cheers...
