Bluetooth Headphones (A2DP) in XBMC?
#16
add the blueman ppa repo and the following

Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:blueman/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install blueman
sudo apt-get install pavucontrol

The blueman does pairing over the gdm desktop manager much easier.
Run Pulseaudio volume control to choose which hardware u want the sound to output , in this case, it'd be the bluetooth A2DP.

PS : this method, u'd not need to meddle with any asound.rc files...

thx for the advise, however I get the following error message now:
"Bluetooth Audio
Failed to initalize PulseAudio Bluetooth module. Bluetooth audio over PulseAudio will not work."
Maybe I have to start with a clean install and try again ...

PS: same error message after new install
BTW: the apt-get dist-upgrade installs the -21 kernel with makes the ASRock lirc / remote to fail

I got another step further yesterday evening in getting rid of the BT/PA error message by installing

sudo apt-get pulseaudio-module-bluetooth

which was obviously missing.

However as I normally don't have a GUI as I'm using the XBMC Live version which starts up XBMC right away I have no idea how I should tell PA to use the BT interface as output device ...
