Play 24p content with 59.94hz
#1
Hi,

i have one TV which is unable to play 1920x1080@24p, so i think the best framerate to watch 24/23.976 content is 59.94 but i am unable to select that in the xbmc gui.

With a TV that supports 24p content and activated modelines für 24/23.976 i can select 24p but not 23.976 in the gui. But when using adjust framerate, xbmc correctly is using 23.976hz with 23.976 content. For me it seems that xbmc only shows up integers, no floating-point numbers. Also when pressing "y" while playing 23.976 content xbmc says it outputs 24hz, but my TV says it is correctly 23.976.
And without modelines for 24p the adjust framerate is playing 24p content with 50hz (my default framerate) and not automatically with 59,94.

XBMC Live on USB Stick updated to SVN 23481 with http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc/ppa/ubuntu
NVIDIA UNIX x86 Kernel Module 185.18.14
Hardware Zotac IONITX-A

xorg.conf: http://pastebin.com/m1778e164

Can no one help me with this?

I tried to set the default Framerate to 59.94, but with adjust Framerate enabled the Framerate changes to 25hz when playing 24p content.

And how can i delete those 1024x768 resolutions? My TV is unable to show those resolutions and sometimes XBMC falls back to 1024x768 when i edited the xorg.conf.

That log doesn't show you playing a file, you need to post a new one.

50 is closer to a multiple of 24 than 60, so adjust refreshrate will choose that.
That is not correct of course because 60 hertz would be a much better fit, but this is how it is right now until someone fixes it.

And the problem that Framerates like 23,976 or 59,94 are not selectable within the xbmc gui?
