I redid my linux box and now I cannot find ~/.xmbc. Did I miss something on the install?

No it is after. It is a hidden folder. Its where all the 3rd party skins and plugins go. I had it before I redid my box and now I don't.

If you erased your disk, you're pretty much out of luck there, yeah.

it will be recreated the first time you start xbmc.
for the record, it's ~/.xbmc (no caps).

Love you Roni!!! Big Grin Thank you so much. I have xbmc running now. Do I need to reboot it before I see it.

Oh, you weren't worried about losing your settings? Yeah, the directory and userdata will be automatically recreated, no need to reboot.

Yea I already lost them so it didn't matter at this point. Now if I don't see it after xbmc is ran then what?

This is driving me crazy. I have xbmc up and running and still don't have ~./xbmc. Error -bash: cd: /home/xbmc/.xbmc/skin: No such file or directory

Sorry, I meant to say the /home directory, not the /home/xbmc.

My bad.

Although, it looks like you have a /home/xbmc/xbmc directory. That's a little odd.

Isn't that odd? That install is by following the wiki with the new svn trunk.
Here is the output
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 2009-10-30 17:04 .
drwxr-xr-x 21 root root 4096 2009-10-31 13:40 ..
drwxr-xr-x 6 xbmc xbmc 4096 2009-10-31 13:45 xbmc

Yup, looks like you're missing .xbmc, it may be in the /home/xbmc/xmbc directory. Something is a bit off with your install.
