Anyone using a VIA ICE 1723 audio processor/chipset for sound?
#1
Was wondering if any Windows users were using any soundcards with the VIA High Quality ICE 1723 audio processor (eg, http://www.auzentech.com/site/products/x-studio.php), and does it work in XBMC for digital audio?

I was wanting to buy one as it is one of the few low profile cards with an optical port, but I wasn't sure if it was compatible with XBMC running on Windows.

Cheers,
Zolt

I'm will to bet that would probably work. The specs say it supports audio pass-through for digital audio which is what you'll want to use with XBMC (assuming you have a compatible receiver).
