using a remote with xbmc
#1
hi im from the uk for a start, so if you are going to link me to shops please link me to ones in the uk

now, i currently use xbmc for windows, does it matter what version i have? if it does i think i have xbmc babylon

i am using windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and im currently using the aeon stark skin for xbmc

what controllers are available that i can use so i dont have to use my keyboard to fast forward, rewind, stop and many more things, i think life would be better with a remote

so what can i use and how would i use it? would i need to set loads of things up or is it like a plug and play thing like the xbox 360 controller where you just plug it in and start using it immediately

thank you
i love xbmc

You have one of two options. If you get an MCE remote, you could try this:

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=61499

which is supposed to have MCE remote powers built in.

Otherwise, or if you want a little more control, you can follow one of these guides.

If you follow a guide, I recommend event ghost.

If you have a 360 and an extra controller I find this program...Xbox360EventClient.exe, super simple to use. No config, just have it run on startup and good to go.

Couldn't find a download link, if need be I could up it for you...
