Any way to network share a drive?

Ok, this is my set up.

I have an aspire revo running xbmc live 9.11 b2 from the hard drive. I also have an external hard drive hooked up to the revo that has all of my media.

So here is my question. Is there anyway to share that external drive with the rest of the windows network? I want to be able to access content from my regular windows 7 pc when someone is using the revo. Is that possible?

Hi there

Samba would be the normal way to go about this but I'm not sure of the impact of trying to install it on a live installation. I know XBMC can act as a UPNP server / client, anyone comment on either Samba on a HDD based Live installation or using UPNP?

Yes it is possible to install samba on a live HDD install. There are a couple guides here that explain.
