I just recently went from a LIVE install of 9.04 to a desktop install of 9.11 on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic. In XBMC 9.04 I was able to scroll through my movies and had a small pop up in the bottom corner telling me which letter I was on if I was browsing quickly. In 9.11 the scrolling is extremely slow to the point that the letter index pop up doesn't even get a chance to generate.
I'm on an Aspire Revo 1600 w/1GB RAM and 256 going to the video card. I'm rendering using VDPAU and on the latest NVIDIA ION drivers, but I'm still running into this issue. This is literally my first day using linux, so I'm unsure how I could get this install back to XBMC 9.04 from 9.11? I've been searching the forums and it looks like the repo defaults to 9.11 now. Can anyone help? I can provide more info if needed. Thank you.
