Hello,
I am running Fedora 11.
I have an iomega Home Network NAS that serves multimedia via UPNP. When I go to add a UPNP source, it takes up to 30 seconds to find my servers (the NAS and WMP11 on an XP box)
After I have added a share to the library, if I close and reopen XBMC and go back to the library, I get an "unable to connect" error. If I keep clicking on the share, eventually (after 15-30s) it will connect and show me the files.
Does anybody know what is causing the delay? I think it would be helpful for XBMC to start resolving shares at launch so this delay would not be as noticeable to the user. Is it a resolution issue and is there a way to speed this up?
Thanks for any assistance,
