I have ubuntu 9.10 and have installed xbmc as instructed in here in the forum.
I have connected my PC to my TV and running ubuntu on 2 screens now. The built in laptop screen (1024x768) and the TV (1920x1080) The TV is connected to the DVI port via an DVI -> HDMI adapter. I have set XMBC to run fullscreen at 1920x1080.
The problem is that there a large area of just plain black to the left of the screen, so I can't see the whole XBMC, it's like the screen is smaller that it actually is. I can't move the picture from the settings inside XBMC, it will just dissapear when getting to the edge. Other applications, like spotify runs good.
