I just installed live on my roommates old computer and I am getting a strange high pitched whine about every second for about a half second duration. It's not too loud but it is noticeable. It seems to be loudest if I put my ear next the the video card (geforce 7600gt). I also notice the scrolling text at the bottom of the screen speeds up when it is whining. I wasn't sure if this should be posted here or not, but it was never noticed when running windows xp so I figured the software is a possibility. Is there anything I can try or is it time for a new card?
