[LIVE] Getting Scripts and Plugings to work properly?
#1
Any ideas, suggestions, solutions to get them to work as they should?

It seems that all plugins and scripts on the latest Live release work excruciating slow and/or completely unresponsive/unworkable. Don't really know if this is due to XBMC or the Live OS
However, when copying content using WinSCP or Samba, everything works at full speed.

Did the "disable ipv6" trick but that doesn't seem to help much.......
Code:
ifconfig eth0
eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:40:ca:90:32:0c
          inet addr:192.168.1.11  Bcast:192.168.1.255  Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1
          RX packets:442 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:412 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:108948 (108.9 KB)  TX bytes:138647 (138.6 KB)
          Interrupt:18 Base address:0xee00

AND

Code:
ethtool eth0
Settings for eth0:

Disabled the internal Networkcard and replaced it with a external gigabit one. Installed a fresh Live and the first thing I did was to try Apple Movie trailers Lite.

Behold!......Trailers where playing instanly. At least the first two I played. After a reboot the system reverted back into it's sluggish state regarding scripts and plugins Sad

For those interested: The XBMC Live versions from XBMCfreak (http://www.xbmcfreak.nl/downloads/) do not have this problem. Thing is you'll need to have a nvidia videocard, because other drivers are left out. It's not ION only, just tailor made for that platform

These guys might (accidentally) solved the problem persistent on the latest "normal" Live release.
