Having recently installed XBMC, I'm new to the whole experience.

When I launch the application on my Windows XP SP3 box, I get blocks where there should be letters. I've searched the forums in vain trying to figure out what is going on.

Any ideas? TIA for any help.

Probably a font problem. Check Settings, Appearance, Skin and try experimenting with the font. Also check Settings, Appearance, International and make sure the country settings are correct.
