Back in version 10, I wrote this MS Visual Basic script that silently launches the Xbox360EventClient.exe so there is no console window mucking up the screen. I just now installed XBMC11 and it still works as it did in version 10, so I will upload it here, along with the Event Client and my personal keymap that you can edit. I have been using this setup for well over a year, and I can't imagine trying to navigate and control playback any other way.

I have included very detailed instructions for using this on Windows 7. It might work in a similar way on Vista and XP, but I have not tested.
