native 64 bit?

Just wondering if xbmc are looking at putting out a native 64 bit version?
I have no need for one really as xbmc works OK as is, i was just wondering?
Should this have been posted in general discussions?

Might help if you mention what OS you want a native 64 bit version.

What would be the advantage of a 64bit version over a 32bit version?

You get to use more than 4 gb of ram.

XBMC isn't all that memory hungry now is it? (come to think of it I never actually bothered checking that in a real life situation (with a movie playing etc...) Laugh I guess it isn't as I should have noticed that on my older computer with a whopping 1GB of memory)

also 64bit is faster for some pieces of code (registry starvation on x86 being a usual reason).

In the end, xbmc by itself doesn't need it which is also why xbmc live is x86.
