I am interested in another subtitle font, because the Arial.ttf font is very sharp to my eyes. I used Calibri before, but maybe there are some very good other (GNU / Open / Free) fonts.

Is there any option to get something like a black glow / shadow behind the letters like this example

I am also looking for "more smooth" fonts. The xbox version has antialiased fonts for subtitles and I found they were excellent. However, afaik, there is no such option for xbmc in linux/windows.
