Big Grin
- have a global key assign to shutdown, so one does not

- ability to assign buttons directly to individual menus (similar to *). so one could use the key 1 for music section, key 2 for video .. for example.
faster navigation.. would be possible even without looking at the gui. you could use the dvd remote keys to do this.

maybe it is a good idea to have a mapping layer between, like with the fonts: define remote keycode to xbmc keycode and later in the skins assign them.

- on shutdown: remember last song/video file and position and restart at this position on next startup

- audio section: what about dsps? could they be implemented? in the way dsps are build with the xdk? that would be really cool.

- on startup: immediatly start playing (normally where we stopped before)

- when no playlist and in a artists or songs or whatever list... continue with following file automatically

- virtual keyboard: could be easier to access backspace and done. what about mapping them to a special key, instead of having to move to that icon..?!

- virtual keyboard: what about another way of entering the letters: like t9 (know from the mobiles). many people are used to it and fast at typing in letters this way.

- virtual keyboard: a speller. means while typing in names/letters xbmc checks for files that match the expressing in the background and turns of letters that are not available anymore (like modern navigation sysetms in car)

so.... what do you think?

yes, it's a really good idea. but i also would do it for a usb keyboard, not only for the remote control.
