How to get commit access to xbmc-addons?
#1
Hi

I've made a small plugin which can play some full length concerts from a website, and I would like to make it available to other users of XBMC, and which better way would be to distribute it than using the included SVN Repo installer in XBMC?

However, I wonder how I can get commit access to the repository... I wrote an e-mail to the mailing list attached to the Google Code project a few days ago, and while waiting for a reply, I checked out the previous postings on the mailing list, and I could see that other people has requested access several months ago, still without getting any replies.

So I have two questions now:
- Are there any active administrators of the xbmc-addons project who can grant access to new committers?
- Would it be better for the XBMC project to host an official repository for addons instead, sort of like an AppStore (people seem to love copying that these days), which basically works the same way as the current SVN Repo installer plugin?

I would love to be in on the latter idea, both in regards to providing hosting capacity, day to day administration, testing and maybe also a bit of coding, although I'm new to Python (I do have experience with other languages though) and the plugin actually is my first "complete" bit of Python code.

Doh!
I do have it in my RSS reader, but it's so long ago, and I probably didn't pay much attention to it when I wasn't developing for XBMC at that time. Thank you for the pointer Smile
