XBMC for old Dell 9300 P-M 2.2GHz 2G NVidia GeForce6800 WUXGA 1920x1200 LCD +DVI-Out?

HW: Dell 9300 P-M 2.2 GHz NVidia GeForce 6800 Go 2G RAM DVI-Out WUXGA 1920x1200 LCD.

WinXP Pro:
I currently have Win XP Pro on it. Works fine.

MacOSX
I also have this successfully booting iPC Mac OS X 10.5.6 with Sound, Video with QE/CI (Video Acceleration) at 1920 x 1200 etc.

Linux:
I havent tried Linux flavor on it as yet.

Which XBMC version would be the best for this machine?

I'd like to have it as a dedicated media player if possible. How do I go about choosing the XBMC distro that would be best for it?

I can't remember if the GeForce 6800 supports hardware decoding, but I don't think it does. In that case there isn't a lot to choose between the different versions. Use whatever OS you feel most comfortable with, and the v9.11 official release of XBMC.
