Ok, I've read a ton of threads and documentation and still cant get my xbox dvd remote working. I'm sure its a newb error somewhere, but I'm hoping some guru here can steer me in the right direction.
the setup:
XBMC live 9.11
Xbox remote and modified usb receiver
already moved files, lircd.xml, hardware.conf into /etc/Lirc
moved lircmap.xml into location
checked if lirc was installed/updated, says its up to date
Is lirc set to automatically load on Live?
Do I have to change another setting to "activate" it?
Is the xbox remote set as standard?
any help appreciated. I've been spending way too much time with this little htpc. Need to prove to the wife how awesome it is!
