Where The Hell Has My Music Gone?
#1
OK, I have an Acer Revo 3610 with Linux.

I had all my music on my external HDD, I used the file manager to copy it across to the internal HDD on the Acer, I now have no idea where the heck it is, or how to get it to show in my Music section without doing it through "add a source".

The problem with doing it that way is that all the sub folders .cache, .xbmc show up as well.

What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it?

you copied your music straight into your home directory you silly boy.

either clean up your mess or disable show hidden files in view options.

How do I copy it so it comes up in the music menu then?

1) make a suitable subfolder in your home dir - i'd suggest a simple 'music'
2) copy/move the music in there
3) add a source pointing to that folder.

there are no preconfigured paths, so you will have to add a a source in either case.

OK, well I think I did that accidentally already. I just included the entire home directory.

Right. I've got the music sorted. Now to figure out if I can enter an album review manually for those albums that didn't pull back any information..?

Then to sort out the TV Shows and how to get a synopsis for each episode.
