So my xbox froze while I was transfeering a new xbmc to the apps folder. I had already deleted the old xbmc so now I cant get the xbox to go further then the green xbox star. Guessing I need some kind of boot disk to gain ftp access and complete the transfer? But where and what should I use?
please help me.

What happens when the console gets to the large XBOX splash screen? Does the Microsoft logo turn up underneath?
How is/was this console modded? Hardmod? Softmod?

Hi.
Its hardmoded with xecuter 3.
I get splash screen and the windows logo under, then it stops and you hear the xbox is working hard.
Iv never istalled anything only upgraded, so Id love some advice to either re istall keeping all my data or get bit booted på d to ftp so I can ftp over the xbmc so it works.

Have you tried a boot disc? Try to find a copy of the old Slayers disc, or Auto Installer Deluxe. They should boot off disc, and provide ftp access.

what bios are you using? if your using x3 you can boot to the bios by holding the white button while its starting and ftp to it that way.

There's no reason to install your Slayers CD to your HDD. It's a rescue/installer disc - "installing" it is like cloning a copy of an Office installer disc onto a PC's HDD. Updating the disc involves burning a new copy, and that's it - you can do whatever you like with the old one.
