No "Year" in movie information
#1
Hi, everything works fine as far as moving scraping, other then it does not ever show the year the movie was made.

I am using imdb and as I said, rating, actors, synopsis, it all shows up, except the year. Anyone know what could be causing this?

I think I read recently that imdb changed things around.

Imdb changed their layout. But there was a scraper update not too long ago to correct this.

You need to get a more recent scraper xml file. But I don't know which rev to suggest because the svn is sort of funny at the moment. The addon merge is well underway which changed alot of stuff. But this is why its being done. The addons manager will allow you to update your scrapers from within Xbmc.

Could you point us in the right direction? All we need is the XML file?

Thanks for the replies

http://trac.xbmc.org/browser/trunk/addon...r/imdb.xml

if using windows, drop it in c:\Program Files\xbmc\system\scrapers\video
and overwrite the existing xml

That file didn't end up working for me. New movies wouldn't be found. As soon as I replaced it with the backed up file it worked again.

It's weird how when adding movies to the library, it always says the movie with the year right beside it...

This one works for me.

Figured it would just be easiest to use pastebin rather than upload an xml.

Yes! You may also use a media manager which is updated every time information websites are changing their scrapping routine

EmberMM or Media Companion are working great!
