Hi,
small tutorial for getting TV-show Logos with tvheadend and xbmc.
Prerequierment:
- Running xbmc with TVheadend installation
- runnings webserver in your local lan (apache usw...)
1.
Download tv show Logos what you like from
http://www.lyngsat-logo.com/
or for München KMS and DVB-T (low Resolution)
from this Link from uploaded.to (does somebody know a better free filehoster without registration)

2.
put them on a webserver in your local LAN
3. then open th webinterface of your TV headend and go to Configuration/Channels.
There put under "Icon (full URL)" the links to your logos on the webserver.
should look like this.
"http://localhost/senderlogos/sr_sudwest_fernsehen.jpg"
"http://192.168.1.50/ard.jpg"
the click on "save changes" and you are ready to go.
4. open your xbmc and you should have logos attached to your channels whats comming from your TVheadend.

is tvheadend the best solution to run tv with xbmc multiplattform (mac, windows, linux)? and what backend has ability to stream to iphone/Android? livetranscode?
My backend running on linux, and i had it with a mythbackend runnings before, but the channelchange time where to long and the general expirience was little bit slow. And mythtv is just a huge backend with a lots of features what you do not need when you only use xbmc as a frontend.
mythbackend 0.23, XBMC frontend trunk r31463:
+recordings come automatically
+stable
+easier to setup at the frontend, due to integrated recordings
+epg
+watch recording live transcoded to flashvideo on the webinterface
+webinterface with tons of features for everything
+-a lot of documentiation available, but needed and chaotic organised
-long zap time
-sometimes buffering between two programms (very strange by the way)
-comlicated setup the first time
TVheadend 2.11, XBMC frontend trunk r31463:
+very easy setup, when DVB card is recognized by your linux
+stable
+fast channel switching
+smooth using
+got channelogos working
-no timeshift
-no epg
-you need to add recodings manually in the frontend via video/source ...
-less documentation, but you don´t need realy a docu about the basics
